Early evidence of earthquake management through mobility and social network adjustments at Vale Boi (SW Iberia)

This study presents the first reconstruction of hunter-gatherer resilience to recurrent seismic events older than 13 ka, using geophysical, geological, and archaeological data from Vale Boi in southwestern Iberia. Foragers mitigated earthquake impacts through flexible mobility and social network adjustments between ~30,000 and 24,000 years ago.
